The Charcot shower

The Charcot shower is designed for jet, fan and contrast Scottish showers.
Charcot's jet shower and its variety, Scottish (contrast) shower, are used:
•    to increase muscle tone,
•    to reduce the thickness of the fat layer (including cellulite),
• for osteochondrosis of the spine and primary osteoarthrosis of large joints,
• in the complex therapy of neuroses, neurasthenic conditions, neurocirculatory dystonia, arterial hypertension I-II degrees,
•    for neurogenic forms of impotence,
•    for insomnia,
•    in the treatment of constipation associated with decreased intestinal tone,
•    for myositis of the lumbar muscles, lumbosacral radiculitis,
•    with unstable vascular tone
•    for chronic fatigue syndrome
•    and also as a method of physical prevention.
The Charcot shower is a floor-mounted installation, the body of which is made of high-strength fiberglass. On the control panel there are 2 nozzles with polymer tips (for simultaneous exposure to the right and left surface of the body or conducting contrast procedures (can be combined in hoses - hot (38-40 degrees) and cold (20-25 degrees) water to create a contrast effect shower)), 2 pressure gauges (for adjusting the pressure in each of the massage jets), 2 thermometers (for monitoring the temperature during the procedure), as well as 2 taps for turning on the water supply. On the back surface of the body there are 2 ¾" thermostatic mixers, making it easier to regulate the temperature during the procedure and protecting the patient from possible thermal burns in the event of water pressure surges in the supply pipelines.
For the convenience of medical personnel, the jet shower installation is equipped with special armrests.
The working pressure of the jet shower procedure ranges from 1.5 to 3 atm and is determined by medical indications and individual patient tolerance. The required pressure in the supply pipelines is about 5 atm.
